THE FUNNIES 6.0. We could use some happiness. ๐Ÿ˜Š

While hurt people are hurting people I believe in healing people and keeping them well. And what brings healing like laughter?

In the famed words of Charles Dickens’ Ebenezer Scrooge, โ€œIt is a fair, even-handed, noble adjustment of things, that while there is infection in disease and sorrow, there is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.โ€

May I spread some here in a new installment (est. 4.16.20) of things that crack me up called, THE FUNNIES. This is a spoonful of sugar for whatever ails you. LOL. Really.

We can be someone’s reason to smile everyday

Did you know today, May 29th is National Biscuit Day! Say yum!

This brings sweet-smelling memories of my grandmotherโ€™s kitchen, flour everywhere, sticking to my infantile fingertips while trying to help her mix the ingredients and watching her cut the dough with a drinking glass and putting the steel grey pan in the oven. I can smell the biscuits right now and see the warm butter and syrup drizzled on top. Oh yes, I must celebrate BISCUIT day tomorrow.

Over the weekend you can also celebrate

National Water a Flower Day (Saturday, May 30) – Sounds lovely, and

National Speak in Sentences Day (Sunday, May 31) – This one is for my sister Candra who likes to shrink her sentences down to one (1) wordโ€ฆ maybe you’ve met her, she says โ€œhereโ€ when she hands me something she wants me to throw away and โ€œnoโ€ when I ask her to do something for me. ๐Ÿ˜œ

From the Word on being happy, meditate on these timely versions of the same verse:

Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained; But HAPPY and blessed is he who keeps the law [of God].
Proverbs 29:18 AMP

Without revelation people run wild, but one who follows divine instruction will be HAPPY.
Proverbs 29:18 CSB
