This is Day Two of the process.

Go ahead and congratulate yourself for making it to today! It is no small feat to actively change your life for the better. Sometimes we get comfortable with average when “God is able to give us exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20

Your being here means you are ready to live your best life. So, let’s go.

Ready, Set, Focus!

We have two action steps for Day Two. The first should be completed immediately (an A.M. action), and the second should be completed by this evening (a P.M. action). 

Action 1. Memorize another goal while taking a little time to meditate on all of your goals for the year.

If you are not familiar with meditation, no worries. it’s quite simple. Meditate is defined in Merriam-Webster dictionary as, “to focus one’s thoughts on reflect on or ponder over.” So all we are going to do is focus all thoughts on each goal for a few seconds. Don’t rush through them. Take time to read your goals and hear your affirmations coming alive as you speak them.

Caution: If something negative creeps into your mind as you are declaring your goals, say “STOP” or “NO” and repeat your declaration. 

For instance, if one of your affirmations is “I will reach my healthy weight this year” and you hear the sound of the ice cream truck in your head. Say “NO!” Then repeat your goal, “I will reach my healthy weight this year.” Do this as many times as needed.

Don’t fear the negative thought. Take control over it with your words. “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound mind” and this is how we ELIMINATE THE MESS in our minds. We speak against it with the truth. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Another corresponding action to rid mess from our best lives is to take time to visualize our goals as already achieved. Which leads us to our next step.

Action 2. Throughout the day, find visual images that match with your goals. 

Search google for images and save them on your device, or clip photos from magazines and then save them in a file folder on your desk.

For instance, if you are believing for a home this year and have written down “I will be happily residing in my new home this year,” then find a picture of the home you desire and save it in your phone, computer, or a file folder.

Collect images for each of your goals and we will make good use of them tomorrow.

Moving Forward

These are our assignments for Day Two.

One to renew our minds with continued memorization and meditation of our goals. This action is moving us toward our goals and building our faith.

The other step puts feet to our confessions because “Faith without works is dead.” (James 2:20.) So have fun finding photos that correspond to each of your goals.

  1. I need lots of encouragement myself so I hope I can actually bless someone else with positive words. Habits change only when we replace them with better habits so I want my goals etched into my very being so that I never let go until they’re achieved!
