Are You in Need of a Blessing?

Are you in need of a blessing? – Mom and Candra

One of the toughest things to do is to put yourself out there and ask for help. Are you picking up what I’m putting down?  In this world of rampant social media, it is so easy to share your successes and wait for others to cheer you on. But when you have a need, especially a financial one, one that goes beyond, “Oh, I’ll pray for you,” then it can get really quiet. Try it. Ask for financial help?

Do you hear the crickets rubbing their wings together? Chirp. Chirp.

Nevertheless, when we are called to be obedient and put ourselves out there despite the opposition and despite pride and ego, we have to answer the call. Why? Contrary to meeting our own needs, it is because others need to be blessed, as well.

I applaud my mother, a parent/caregiver for forty-plus years, for being that person, and here is a piece of her story:

“Candra once was a cute little special needs girl who rode horses and walked and ran in the Special Olympics, never knowing the day would come when she’d be in a wheelchair with a mom now getting older as well who puts her in and out of a car. Lifting is wearing on my back and costing a considerable amount for chiropractic care. We are raising this money to get a much-needed van so that Candra is comfortable and able to travel and be more mobile. We need funds as soon as possible so that she can have a much-deserved quality of life as well as the caregiver.

This help would mean the world to our family who cannot afford to even upgrade or update the vehicle we have now with one working window and NO air conditioning. Being a single older mom with the responsibility of being the primary caregiver, I’m not able to work 2 or 3 jobs to make this happen, if so I would do it in a heartbeat.

Please hear our hearts on this and help however you can. Any and all help is appreciated, so share this with everyone you know.

By the way, she’s still cute to me!

Thank you ❤”

Thank you, Mom, for giving readers the opportunity to be givers to the Candra Van Gofundme, and to be subsequently blessed. I hope everyone reading this blog and visiting the Gofundme page will not only give but share this request with others so the blessings can keep flowing.
