Strong Enough

You are not strong enough—

Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail). [I Pet. 5:7.] Psalm 55:22 AMPC

People criticize Christians for wanting to pray about everything, and I don’t fault them. If I were not a sold-out believer in Christian principles, I would think we (Christians) were delusional, too, especially the way we waiver when our times get tough.

Which is why my concern lately is for those who confess Christ, as I do, and are still fearful about the pain of the past and are anxious for tomorrow.

Scripture says, Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s indescribable peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ. (Phil 4:6-7 TPT)

My brothers and sisters in the faith, dark and light-skinned, if you are still burdened and can’t find peace, perhaps you haven’t prayed long enough, or you are not fully following God, the great I AM.

Only you know. I do not and will not judge. I only wish to encourage you.

To the believer, consider the words of God as a reminder. We need loving reminders and the support of other believers when we are weak.

To the nonbeliever, consider the same words as an invitation to accept Jesus as Lord.

Regardless of human behavior or the trouble we will face in life, God’s love never fails and Jesus really is the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
