Blessed

Dear Reader,

Do you really want to be Happy? Would you like to be Prosperous in all things? How about being favored by the God of all creation?

If you answered yes to any or all of the above, then you, like me, want to live a blessed life. So if you have a couple of minutes and are willing to travel back to the beginning of time, I am going to show you how we can all live blessed.

In the first book and chapter of the Old Testament in the Bible, the Original Blessing was bestowed on the first man and woman—Adam and Eve, and, subsequently, all mankind.

Read below:

The Original Blessing – Genesis 1:28 NMV

“And God-Elōhīm [The Living Word – The Creator] Blessed (Favored by God; happy; prosperous) them, and God-Elōhīm [The Living Word] said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

So why wouldn’t anyone want the blessing?

Good question. Obviously, I cannot speak for the first parents, but the story is that the “lure of something better” brought the initial blessing to a screeching halt. Christians refer to this as “the fall of man (humanity).” The garden deception changed our relationship with God until Abram.

Genesis 12:2-3 NKJV records the moment God’s made the promise to Abram.

“I will make you a great nation;

I will bless you

And make your name great;

And you shall be a blessing.

I will bless those who bless you,

And I will curse him who curses you;

And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

While this blessing was made with the Jews, it extends to all who believe in God’s son, Jesus, and accepts Him as Lord and Savior.

“So the blessing of Abraham’s faith is now our blessing too!” (Galatians 3:9 TPT)

Hallelujah!

Even during a COVID-19 crisis, and other tests and trials, we can still live the blessed life. James 1:12 TPT tells us that “If your faith remains strong, even while surrounded by life’s difficulties, you will continue to experience the untold blessings of God! True happiness comes as you pass the test with faith, and receive the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God!”

Mark Batterson, in his book, Double Blessing, describes the benefits this way:

The blessing of God is the solution to your biggest problem,

the answer to your boldest prayer,

and the fulfillment of your bravest dream.

My challenge to you is to not miss another moment’s blessing. Do not be deceived. Keep the faith and never lose your hope in God’s initial plan for mankind—to live blessed.

In closing, allow me to share with you the blessing the Lord spoke to Moses in Numbers 6:24-27:

The Lord

bless you and

keep you;

The Lord

make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.”

With the original blessed regards,

Leah

    As i read this blog, I did go back to the Garden of Eden to the mandate given to the First Parents to simply take care of everything they’d been given and obey Elohim’s voice. For this submission everything would be well with them bc they knew no other life at that time. They didn’t follow through and we have trouble with this until we commit to Jesus Christ and allow God’s voice to live inside of us leading and guiding us to righteous living everyday! My desire is to hear and listen to His voice from within; and as I read the inspired written Word through Holy Scripture, i choose to obey. Why? Because nothing has changed. God hasn’t changed. He’s “Unchangeable!” He still requires that me submit and commit to HIS COMMAND! What we get from obedience is the BLESSED LIFE in the midst of chaos and evil, in the world (fallen system) but not of the world. With all the clamor and conflicting noises and voices vying for our attention, we only have to listen to that One still small voice of our Father, Creator, Savior, Lord God. He said His Children hear that voice, recognize it, and follow it. We must daily get used to hearing and practicing His Word! We can indeed enjoy the blessings promised to us by Our Holy God never errs or changes! I have read, hear, and follow His Voice and that settles it. I choose THE BLESSED LIFE! Thanks for sharing an inspirational message! ❤ME
