WHO WILL PROTECT OUR GIRLS?

Save Girls From Changes to Title IX

The rule previously prohibited discrimination based on biological sex, but the Biden/Harris rules expanded it to prohibit discrimination based on a person’s perceived gender identity.

Dear Readers on both sides of the political aisle,

I have a question for you. What would you do if a man dressed like a woman followed your daughter or granddaughter into a bathroom stall and sexually assaulted her? An associate of mine told me exactly what he would do. It was not good, and it does not have to come to violence if we use common sense.

As a petite woman and a fierce protector of those who cannot speak for themselves, I have strong concerns about how anyone can claim to stand for women while supporting the revised changes to Title IX. For the record, Title IX is intended to protect the rights of women and girls and ban discrimination based on sex. We all should like that part. But the Biden/Harris Administration seeks to expand the rules to cover so-called gender identity.

The Biden/Harris Administration’s proposal to “redefine sex” to include sexual orientation and gender identity is set to take effect this August! The new set of regulations is 1577 pages long and “gender identity” is not even defined, but it won’t stop you from being liable for “misgendering” someone with your words (so much for science and free speech). And if you think social issues like these don’t matter, you are probably not a biological woman.

To solve a problem, you have to call it out. When you start using language nobody understands, you make it a lot harder to actually go after the root issue.”- Dr. Phil.

Legal scholar, senior fellow, and director of constitutional studies at the Manhattan Institute, Ilya Shapiro explains it this way, “…the Biden administration has not gone so far as to require or mandate that bathrooms, locker rooms, athletic teams, be open to people of their gender identity, BUT they said that IF a given state or school district or institution WANTS to make that kind of rule, there is NOT a federal protection under Title IX for any woman or girl who doesn’t like that.”

Are you kidding? WHY NOT? Why would the government put girls and women in positions like this?

How dare they endanger girls and women with these misguided policies and not be found complicit?

Take Action:

These new changes are deceptive, but you and I have a VOICE (for now). We can use our voices to call our politicians and convey our desire to keep women and girls safe from men and boys in our sports and private spaces. Find your elected officials in Marion County here.

We can vote out politicians who fail to represent us. Those who refuse to protect the safety of our young girls and women don’t deserve our support. Remember, politicians work for us. That’s democracy.

What we cannot do is remain silent and allow our silence to be taken as an agreement by radical leftists playing on both sides of the fence with our health and safety. Their confusion cannot be our calamity.

Legislative Updates:

  1. In the month of June, ten states filed lawsuits against the Biden/Harris Administration’s Title IX rules. So far, they have won two court decisions. In the first ruling, U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty of Louisiana granted a preliminary injunction to restrict enforcement of the changes in Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Montana.
  2. U.S. District Judge Danny Reeves granted another preliminary injunction in a similar case for six more states: Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. In his ruling, Reeves called the new regulation “arbitrary in the truest sense of the word…If the new rule is allowed to take effect on August 1, 2024, all plaintiffs will suffer immediate and irreparable harm,” Reeves wrote. (Remarks taken from Catherine Gripp’s article for The Stew on June 20, 2024)
  3. On Thursday, July 11, 2024, the Representatives voted 210-205 to roll back those vague changes to Title IX. House Republicans coalesced to roll back measures to protect women’s sports and other exclusively female spaces from the presence of biological men.
  4. As of this Monday, July 22, 2024, Biden’s U.S. Department of Justice asked the Supreme Court to stop states from blocking Title IX expansion.

Despite the latest pushback by the current administration, both Democrat and Republican constituencies have begun working together to push these unsafe and unfair ideas out of women’s personal spaces and sports.

Ladies, let’s keep praying, speaking up, and using our vote. These are serious times, friends, where the adage when you give an inch they take a mile, can result in irreversible harm. But we the people have the right to start now, speaking truth to power that there are only two biological sexes as determined by God. And if this administration wants to argue with God, then perhaps they should consider creating a third category of sports, dressing rooms, and bathrooms, for people who want to bend the natural rules of biology.

Prayerfully yours,

Leah
