Sometimes the best support group doesn’t meet around a table.
“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
Psalm 133:1
What a joy-filled afternoon! This week, our MBC Caregivers traded our usual meeting space for bowling shoes, pizza, laughter, and wonderful fellowship at Bowlero Lucky Strike in Ocala.
We bowled two games on two lanes, cheered each other on, celebrated every strike and spare, and laughed just as hard at the gutter balls. For many of us, it had been years since we had bowled, which made every roll, cheer, and high-five feel even more special. What mattered most was not the score—it was the joy of being together.

😄 Most Fun to Watch
❤️ Most Laughter: Everyone!
Every spare and strike brought huge smiles and enthusiastic celebrations that made everyone laugh.
After bowling, we gathered around the table to enjoy pizza, Coca-Cola, and even more conversation. These moments remind us that friendship often grows in the simple moments we intentionally share together.
Thank You!
Before we began, our team leaders prayed for safe travels, and we’re thankful to God that everyone arrived safely and returned home without incident.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us. You filled the afternoon with smiles, hugs, encouragement, and high-fives.
We also missed those who could not attend, and we hope you will join us next time for the fun, fellowship, and encouragement.
We’d also like to thank the staff at Bowlero Lucky Strike for their kindness and patience with our group.
The afternoon was such a success that we’ve already decided…
We’re going bowling again this fall! 🎳
Be the Change:
If you’re interested in joining one of our caregiver meetings or future outings, we’d love to welcome you.
📍 We meet:
- Virtually: First Thursday of each month
- In person at MBC: Third Thursday of each month
Whether you’re a family caregiver or simply have a heart for caregivers, there’s a place for you here.
Because gathering matters.
Connection builds friendships.
Friendship helps overcome isolation.
This is what beating isolation looks like—one gathering, conversation, laugh, and prayer at a time..
You’re Invited
Whether you’re caring for a parent, spouse, child, sibling, grandchild, or friend, we’d love to meet you.
If you’ve been feeling isolated, and need a little more connection, consider this your invitation. Or, if you need help starting your own care club, check out my book, Beating the Isolation Trap, and be blessed in knowing…
💙 You don’t have to walk this journey alone. & You don’t have to lose yourself while you care for someone else.
Really,
Leah
