Writing a book is one challenge.
Sharing it with the world is another.
Recently, I was talking with a fellow author about how much work goes into researching, writing, editing, and publishing a book. We both laughed that once the book is finally finished, a whole new journey begins: helping readers discover it.
The truth is, self-promotion has never come naturally to me.
But some causes are bigger than our comfort.
Family caregiver isolation and the many ways caregivers carry their burdens is one of them. Therefore, if sharing my story helps even one caregiver find hope, or discover a resource they didn’t know existed, then stepping outside my comfort zone is more than worth it.
With that, I’m grateful that Awesome Gang recently featured Beating the Isolation Trap, giving me another opportunity to shine a light on the millions of family caregivers who rarely ask for recognition but deserve so much of it.
If you know someone who is caring for a spouse, parent, sibling, child, or friend, I hope you’ll share this interview—or consider gifting them a copy of the book and the healthy dose of encouragement it offers.

Thank you for walking this journey with me. Together, we’re building a community where caregivers can reconnect, recharge, and thrive.
Really,
Leah
