Happy Turkey Day! The Word admonishes us to “…give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, And for His wonders to the sons of men!
For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.” Psalm 107:8-9 NASB
Did you know that all that satisfaction could amount to 3000 calories in one crapulent Thanksgiving meal? Gobble. Gobble. Forget tryptophan, with that much food and calories what else can we do but take a good, long nap. And then graze on leftovers.
No wonder our waistlines expand this time of year. Hobble. Hobble. No wonder our only activity besides overeating is the traditional turkey trot and not a run.
But no worries. No guilt. Thanksgiving is the perfect day to stop all our work, lean way back in a recliner, and reflect on our blessings – most of which are seated somewhere nearby.
This is our time to meditate on how blessed we are. It’s a pleasant prelude to the gift-buying and giving we will do in the weeks to come. So let’s enjoy it to the fullest. Gobble. Hobble. Wobble.

Happy Thanksgiving, dear readers. Know that “I thank God every time I remember you.” And I remember you every time I blog. Really,
Leah💕
