While hurt people are hurting people I believe in healing people and keeping them well. And what brings healing like laughter?

In the famed words of Charles Dickens’ Ebenezer Scrooge, “It is a fair, even-handed, noble adjustment of things, that while there is infection in disease and sorrow, there is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.”

May I spread some here in a new installment (est. 4.16.20) of things that crack me up called, THE FUNNIES. This is a spoonful of sugar for whatever ails you. LOL. Really.

Did you know today, May 29th is National Biscuit Day! Say yum!

This brings sweet-smelling memories of my grandmother’s kitchen, flour everywhere, sticking to my infantile fingertips while trying to help her mix the ingredients and watching her cut the dough with a drinking glass and putting the steel grey pan in the oven. I can smell the biscuits right now and see the warm butter and syrup drizzled on top. Oh yes, I must celebrate BISCUIT day tomorrow.

National Speak in Sentences Day (Sunday, May 31) – This one is for my sister Candra who likes to shrink her sentences down to one (1) word… maybe you’ve met her, she says “here” when she hands me something she wants me to throw away and “no” when I ask her to do something for me. 😜
